SYNOPSIS
This documentary is about the alarming rate of online radicalisation, its threat to global democracy and its causes & effects. The #GamerGate microcosm will introduce the main themes explored in the series, fake outrage, culture shock, weaponised propaganda and institutionalised oppression. #GamerGate created a blueprint for subsequent reactionary propaganda and revealed the inspiration of past templates.
As the acceleration rate of global change intensified during the 20th century, it gave birth to an era of obscene wealth creation and accumulation becoming increasingly asymmetrical. Investigating the implications and ramifications of key events from this period the series will portray the impact on society as it navigates through unprecedented times.
